SOUND CRATE

DMCA Notice

Sound Jig respects the work that goes into every sample pack, loop library, impulse response, and plugin build we write about. Producers who share their sounds and their code put real hours into it, and we treat those rights as something worth defending. If you believe material hosted on this site infringes your copyright, send us a proper notice and we will review it and act on it.

Where to Send Notices

Sound Jig has designated an agent to receive copyright complaints. Direct all takedown correspondence to:

  • Designated agent: Sound Jig Copyright Team
  • Email: {contact_email}

Email is the fastest route and the only channel we actively monitor for this purpose. Send plain-text or PDF attachments rather than links to third-party file hosts.

What Your Notice Needs to Contain

Under 17 USC §512(c)(3), a notice must carry all of the following. Miss one and we may not be able to act on it.

  1. The protected work. Name the copyrighted material you say has been copied. If a single notice covers several recordings, loops, or plugin binaries, list them together.
  2. The location of the allegedly infringing material. Give the exact URL on Sound Jig where our copy lives, plus enough detail that we can find it without hunting — page section, pack name, or the filename as it appears.
  3. Your contact details. Full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and an email address we can reply to.
  4. A good faith statement. Confirm that you believe in good faith the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement under penalty of perjury. Confirm that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner, or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your signature. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative.

If Your Upload Was Pulled

If we removed something of yours and you believe the takedown was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the material that was removed and where it sat before removal, state under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was taken down in error, include your name, address, and phone number, agree to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court, and accept service of process from the original complainant. We will forward it to the complaining party.

How Long We Take

We aim to acknowledge valid notices and complete removals within five to ten business days. Incomplete notices get a reply asking for the missing piece rather than a silent dismissal. Counter-notices follow the same window, after which restored material returns unless the original complainant tells us they have filed an action.

One note for our readers: finding a sample in a pack does not make it royalty-free forever. Check the license that shipped with it. If you are unsure whether a sound is cleared, ask us before you publish.
